Hi all can anyone tell me if you can get the TOM TOM units to communicate with blue tooth head sets. When I try to do the blue tooth search on the TOM TOM it states it's trying to find the phone but never finds the head set. I can get my phone to find the head set no probs but the TOM TOM wont.

Want the head set to work when using the TOM TOM on the motorbike

cheers in advance

My father in law has the tom tom bike and I am the one who has to set it up for him (he is a pita) and on the head set if it is the same as his you have to hold the long button (power button) down for 10-15sec until the little led flashes red and blue on the headset. That is when you connect the tom tom unit with the head set if that doesn't work I will have another look for you.

Hope this helps

Another update

with the headset off hold the large button down after about 5sec a blue light will come on, all this means is the headsets is on but still hold the button down until the red and blue light flashes then go into the menu then into change preferences then scroll through until you get to connect to head set then connect to head set.

After you have done this the first time you shouldn't have to do this again if you turn on the head set first and then the tom tom unit. just make sure you turn the head set on before the unit for it to work best. You shouldn't have to do this but I have found that it doesn't connect properly sometimes and can be a PITA

hope this helps

In the manual look for Pairing devices. You normally hold down the power button on the headset till it stays on, about 10secs on most Then in the menu on the Tom tom tell it to search for devices and it should find it. It may require a number to associate them but usually as long as you use the same unique number on both they work. I have Tom Tom 5 on my Nokia pnone and when I wear my blustooth earpiece the voice comes thru from the Tom Tom software Ok
