Had my Maverick Stolen from my Carport on friday night, It was found half an hour away, stripped and burnt out.
Taken was the Bullbar + Winch (Black ARB bar, cheap nasty 9500lb winch)
Also on the bar was a set of Narva Ultima Blue 175's.
Towbar was also missing.
Just a warning, there has been a few of these getting pinched in the area, so lock em and alarm em!

Yeah, thanks fellas, all insured... but never for enough.
time to start fresh, and install electro shock steering wheel... that'll stop em... and a gear stick similar to the handle of the sword in "blade"... hmm... i feel a very mutilating alarm system coming on....

Co*k heads, I honestly don't understand how people can steal from other people who have to work hard for what they get, i don't care if they steal from big rich wankers, but leave the everyday bloke alone.

Why is stealing from anyone ok?
And why is someone who has worked his butt off and doing well a rich wanker?
Dont rich people work hard:rolleyes:

Not promoting stealing boof, just saying that it's always the average bloke who has his stuff knocked off and has to suffer the consequences. Oh and to answer your question about rich people working their butt off to get where they are, i have to say that all the "rich wankers" i have met, have not worked a hard day in their silverspooned life...

Ill say. But its usually mummy or daddy with theyre superior asskissing skills that gets the rich nancy boys theyre stuff.
I agree with Dansluglux. And boof. While I dont like it when I hear someones truck has been stolen (anyone know any good ways to sort the ....'s out), the rich snobs that dont work a day in theyre lives, dont give a dang about the resto f the world, and generally treat others with total disrespect need to be taught a lesson in life...............
Make sense?
Well put Boof.
I'm over 50 and been around abit but mysteriously have never met one of these silver spoons who have never worked in their life. Do they exist? Even if they did, why would it be OK if they had things stolen?
We have in Australia a quite unique country, where there is an opportunity for everyone to get ahead in life if we work hard. If we choose not to, why be resentful of people who have had success?
My 2cs worth.

Hey duza, i think this thread has turned into whether we hate rich people or not, not about this poor bloke who has lost his maverick. But i will say that i have every respect for people who work hard to end up rich, i'm just yet too meet someone that has.....and once again i'm not condoning stealing from anyone ok......
hey guy i dont think it alright to steal from anyone.
i bought a new car (hyundai Accent) at 21 and i've worked hard for pay it off no cash from the folks.
in Feb or March 2007 i'm buying a brand new 4.2 ST-L Patrol and again i'll work hard and pay it off.
becase i'll still be only 24 pepole think i'm from a rich family --thats crap.
i can't see why it would be fine under any conditions.

The truth of the matter is work hard and you can play harder. If someones 4B gets stolen rich or poor their still out of a car and somthing to play with. Sorry to hear of your missing pride & joy. Reedys Misses xox

Stealing is never right, how can you blaim a person who's parents worked hard. its not there fault there family is afluent you cant choose who your born to you cant say no dont do well in your job. Geez your bank account should never matter when your out wheeling it doesnt matter if your rig cost 100k or 3k your there to have fun not abuse people because they may or may not have something you dont

Funny thing is that nobody here ever condoned stealing, sometimes people like to take things out of context and then everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

One of my mates kept gettin one of his sheds broken into on another property, i was full of tools and street drag cars. They fitted a silent alarm that alerts there mobile. Went down and caught the f*#kers, him and his brother gave it to them. Cops rocked up and sat back for a while so they could give the blokes a hiding. haha coppers saw the whole thing but deney it. Now thats justice. :D
They wouldn't work to well on a car but, by the time the arse wipes r in they start it and go.

sounds like you are saying stealing is ok as long as it is from rich wankers.
jealousy is a bad thing. Be less concerned about what other people have and be happy with what you do have.
As to the original poster I hope his insurance came through and he has beenable to replace his car and get out and enjoy it again

Notice that not once did i say stealing is okay!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm happy with what i've got and if people take what i have said out of context then that's they're problem. I have tried to steer this back to the original reason of the thread but people seem to care more about a misunderstanding than the poor bugger who had his truck knocked off.

you said "i don't care if they steal from big rich wankers" if that is not stating that in your mind it is ok to steal from rich people then you must get into a lot of confusing arguments with people

Most of these people have seen everyone around them doing the same thing there whole life.
Since they took everything, I am guessing they would have scoped it for a couple of days, you will probably see these parts on another GQ or Maverick.
My brother's mate's dad had a 2004 STR Navara that was stolen, which was later found trashed and had DX rims on it, No door trims and no seats, no carpet, No bull bar. It was that bad it was written off.
My guess is all this stuff was stolen to be put into a DX D22.
This happened in Queensland, butI wouldn't be surprised if it happens elsewhere.

guy's I think those who steal off others won't work cause it is to easy to steal, and most of the time they have nothing else to do. If I caught anyone stealing my truck I would brake they bones, then I would spend time I the can because I assulted them now where is the justice.

I do this now but the funny thing is I have jumped into my 4b and started it 2 times now and went to take off and nothing :p
Even I can't steel my own 4b.
This is a great idea. Feel like a fool when I did it the first time let alone the 2nd  :)

I flick the gas/petrol switch into the middle position. They can try and start all they want, there ain't no fuel getting to that engine! And yeah, I sometimes forget and wonder why it won't start! :D

sorry to hear mate that sux.....best thing to do is to try and slow them down from takin it.as metioned put 4x4 stick in neatrul,alarm......i put switches on battreys if u got 2 battreys have alarm connected to second battrey and turn the starter battrey off it will slow them down and find a way so they cant push it out a speed hump ect......u will never stop these low lifes u can only slow them down from takin it or make it harder for them.

This is a great idea i've got gas and never thought about doing this i might give it a go. I also have a switch on the power to that switch so it can be turned off altogether.
