definately not legal in QLD when you've got 12" of shocky sticking thru the bonnet. max articulation yes definately. get all your geometry right and it is amazing stuff. I don't know even how some of these guys get them registered in other states with them sticking out of the bonnett.

Coil over shock dosent have to stick out the bonnet.

It can be engineered, some cars have it stock.

Their advantage is you can run longer, softer springs because they have a guide (the shock absorber) and so dont trip over themselves or fall out.

But starting at about $700 a corner for just the spring over (for the cheap ones) then you have the cost of the controll arms etc it is a very costly suspension setup.

Good coil overs are around $850 each for just the body then you have to get the coils for them on top of that. Long ones normaly have 2 coils per coilover.

Mate, do you know of any shops that do this for the IFS Hilux or who can supply new custom A frames to permit coil overs etc.

Solid axle swap with coil overs is about the best thing you could do.

You could try talking to Nick at Mannell motors and get some ideas on prices and what can be done.

Remember ANYTHING is possible, its only the amount of money that people want to spend that stops things from being done.
