In July / August this year we travelled Cape York and I took as many photos that I could and as many different settings I could.
See if you can name this location. When correct I will post another one.
Hint - south of Cooktown - North of Cape Tribulation

SPOT ON - It is Archer Point.
Its a great spot but very windy like most of the east coast, no camping is allowed but there were a few campers in amongst the trees.
Its not far from the Lions Den Hotel.
I better find another "PHOTO"

Better find another onei cheated alittle, i grabbed my cape map and ron moon book and sussed it out with your directions, the ron moon book mentions a old jetty, so i guessed that's what was in the picture. thats one of many spots that we didn't get to see on our trip up the top, looks like a nice little spot to go next time i head up that way.

Spot on again, It was a great camping spot, actually it is where i had to dry the patrol & trailer out, see my post in photography nolans brook.
I sat at that spot taking photos for an hour and was later told by a local that that spot is home to a 17ft croc.
Ill have to find another photo.

Ill have to find another photo.i was trying to work out where they used to drive across the river when we went for a look there. it was way to wide and deep to look like they did it near the shelter. years ago when i first went to the cape a guy was taken by a croc at the ferry. it was only about 2 weeks before we went there, the ferry broke down midstream and he swam out to fix it and unfortunately he was taken.

Its not real visable where they used to cross because the locals dug the bank away with an excavator to stop people from crossing. Not for their safety but because they wernt paying to use the ferry.
