Have a canon A85 , seem to be having a problem with the batteries. Put some Duracell rechargeables in and they seem to go flat over night, is becoming very annoying, go to take a shot and rear sreen wont come up , but will still take a picture,. have tried two different types of recargheables now and neither set have worked. is it the camera or the batteries? or what batteries should i buy? thanks

G-day Sunny. I dont have a heap of experience with re-chargables but I've used the energizer E2 (thats E squared) have served me well. They're not rechargable but not too expensive. The lithium are even better but way more expensive. When recharging stuff it's best to completely flatten then, then completely charge them each time. Try to resist giving them only a short charge if you can.
Cheers.........HB

Have you tried with ordinary alkaline batteries. I have bought dud rechargales in the past. If ordinary alkaline go flat, I would talk to a canon dealer for their opinion.
Good luck
