Cooktown day trips

Hi,

I'm based in Townsville and am running a 4WD and fishing camp in Cooktown in July. I have about ten vehicles so far and am looking for ideas for day trips in the Cooktown region. My expereince in the area is limited to a few days on the way to Bathurst Bay last year. I welcome your suggestions or messages if anyone is interested in joining us.

a trip out to the Roaring Megs falls is not a bad drive,just depends on where the Creb Track is closed from.

Cape Flattery (the silica mine site)

Archer Point (sth of town)

Trevian (sp?) falls....get a topo or two of the area.

The old Cooktown Museum is worth a visit.
