Beginner Tracks around Cairns

Can anyone recoomend anywhere around cairns i can have a play with my new toy? going to join a club soon, but need to go overseas for a while first. Have some time off for now and want to do a few days trips to get the feel od my new beast. fisrt time with a fourby.

Hi Big Dave,

Mate i grew up in cairns until my early teens but the olds used to take us swimming to ross and locke out past gordonvale, don't know if you know it or not.

Heading south from cairns turn right at the traffic lights on the highway in gordonvale and keep following that road you can't miss it, well signed from what i remember. Turn off that road heading for ross and locke but there is another turn to the left off that track which used to take you over a wooden bridge heading for goldsborough.

It's been a long time since i was there mate but the goldsborough road was dirt and i know some guys who used to trailbike ride through there so i reckon there might be some nice beginner driving through there for you buddy.

If not at least you can peel off the clothing and have a dip in the creek ;D
