Hi,

freddy,

I have travelled that road to the hill afew times now. Its not too bad a road, can be slow going if it hasn't been graded in while. I guess it just depends if your going that way for the drive or cause it 'looks faster on a map'. Having now done it for both reasons, I can say that its not too bad a road. Beware of the 'big trucks' travelling it though casue they dont stop......just get well off the road if they are going to pass you by. (Communicate with them on the UHF)

There's not too much at Wilcannia, Mennindee is good, but theres not too much water out there in the lake systems at the moment. You can also go out of Broken hill to the mundi mundi plains, and Silverton this area is where the mad max and Priscilla movies were made. the pub at Silverton is good for a beer . Ask them to become a life member. and make sure they give you the free beer. Check out the photos of mad max etc they are all around the walls.

Have a good trip.
