Places around Sydney

Hey guys and girls

Im flying down to Sydney to visit my cousin for Easter and was wondering what are some good camping spots around sydney to camp??? She doesnt have a fwd unfortunately so we are limited in that way but look forward to your responses.

Id prefer to camp in a national park etc not a caravan park. And wouldnt mind having a camp fire. Coming from Qld Ill be freezing

Newnes has a nice camping spot.
In a car, I guess you would want smooth roads, so the directions are as follows;
Drive to Lithgow & turn off Great Western Hwy onto Mudgee Rd.
At Lidsdale, you will see a Rd going straight ahead, where the road you are on rounds a left hand turn. There is a sign which says "Newnes", so take that road.
Stay on that rd (around 40km) until you get to the newnes camping area.
Will take around 2 to 3 hours from City, depending on traffic.

Thanks BT the smooth roads arnt too important we were looking around the Blue mountains but arent fussy keep it coming
