The 80!!!!!

Well the hilux has been retired an i have bought a 1994 80 series cruiser..

It all stock, I will have some pics hopefully tomorrow

Future mods are:

Snorkel ( which is on already)
5 Inch mega lift kit ( comin thursday hopefully)
Front an Back lockers
Duel Battery system
Rear Draws
Roof Console
35 or 36 inch Tires ( JT2's hopefully)

yep watch it fall over.. . you don't need 5 inches of lift to clear 35's on an 80, and spring lifts don't clear tires anyway.... and your lowest point will still be the bottom of your rear diff housing.

and jt2's only go up to a 34 inch tire ;D

Well i just ordered my tires an rims.. ended up gettin 35" procomp muddies on 16x10 outlaw rims

they should be in tuesday ;)

Paid 10 grand, it petrol an its got 280000 on it i think!! Havent sold the lux yet.. Its still in shed waiting to put back together, Done the rear main seal in it :'( :'(.. I let ya know bout Tomorrow..

Looks great mate. Got so excited with the bonnet scoop idea, i rushed out and cut a hole in my bonnet with tin snips.

Then i realised i had no intercooler ???

And no turbo either :-X

Well Just a quick update...
Havent done much in the last couple of weeks ;D but on the cards for this weekend is puttin the gps in the cruiser an attemt to make bracket for the laptop so it dont go flyin 8)

Looking good mate making the brackets wont take you to long and use flat bar on the top then i just went to supercheap and bought the velcro for dash mats and put some under the laptop and some on the bars and it works a treat .if you make some feet to rest against the dash make sure you put some foam on them so they dont scratch the dashhttp://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n122/mud-masher/th_bikeshots051.jpg

The reason i put it there is cause its out of the way, an i can see ii clearly there... was thinkin bout puttin it on the otherside of the steering collem but it would of been in the way of the diff lock button, the rear dismister an got a uhf mic there as well...

Well it was a bit of a last minute decision.. Went out to the place where wen went on the last Forum meet up.. Wont mention any names..... went out there for couple of hours.... the clutch is on its way out.. got to replace that before i go out again :'( :'(
