hey mate, what area you from? i'll teach you anything you need to know about 40's... unfortunately mine doesn't run at the moment.
oh and you still after that old oil filter bolt?
and i dunno about driver training courses.. only thing i learnt on mine was that they're not worth a knob of goat sh!t. guy tried to tell us that momentum was the only way across rocks... and that you should snatch off the top bar of an aluminium bullbar

i am serious, and this was a fully accredited course, and the certificuit is recognised in any workplace yada yada yada. i refused to follow his instruction at that point and proceeded to attatch it to the proper chassis mounted recovery point. told him it was that way, or i wasn't going to be a part of the recovery.
as for this bloke. we were all young, a little silly, and too eager at one point. better that a few yahoo's take him under their wing now, than have him learn the hard way.
so lightforce, when you ready to catch up?

Hey Lightforce, c'mon up to the Summit Trax 4x4 Club meeting on 24 August at the Anembo Park Sports & Rec Centre, just off the SE Freeway out of Adelaide at Mount Barker, turn left off the freeway exit, then take the first drive on the right. It's only 15 mins from the Toll Gate! We start at 7:30pm, and are usually over the formal meeting type stuff by 8:30, and onto the important stuff, 4WD's! We have a very active 4WD driver training program, with people who've been doing it for years sharing their experience and knowledge about driving, 4by's, touring, comps, and just about anything associated with 4WDing!! We even welcome trooper drivers!

Bet he doesn't show anywhere.
I reckon he's just here to sh!tstir 4WD enthusiasts and people are taking the bait, hook, line and sinker.
Been reading some of his posts (under various alias's) and the replies, A bit of harmless amusement I reckon.

well i doubt daddy would have explained the intracacies such as their oil filter setup to him, which we've discussed via pm...
....their oil filter setup to him, ....
::) wot ... same as a lot of pre-'70s vehicles and most pre 60s vehicles are they? ;) ;D

what, and a young kid that's "never worked a day in his life" would know that?
" Dad! this bloke at school wants to know what the oil filter on that landcruiser ya used to have looks like ...?"
"oh ... ok son ... well it's got this bolt thing through it ..."
;D ;) Calm down a bit dude ... I tried giving some brat the benifit of the doubt too. I also picked up that posts were being made coinciding with Recess & Lunchtime sirens at the schools, which I can hear quite clearly from my home office.
This dude may or may not be the same one, and may or may not be at the same game ... fact is some think it's great fun to "string along these redneck four wheel drivers"
so Lightforce, when you ready to catch up?
No reply yet?? ;D

Don't forget people, Summit Trax 4x4 Club meeting on 24 August at 7:30 pm at Anembo Park Littlehampton. Take the SE freeway to Mt Barker and then turn Left off the exit before taking the first driveway to the right, it's about 500m down the road, just after the Hahndorf Rd on the left. Lightforce, you are more than welcome, and we don't give people a hard time for anything (except driving Landrovers!)
It is our AGM, but that won't take long and we will be talking about our training program and out upcoming trips!!
See ya all there!

Just read this post a little too late but dont worry I will definitly bring my truck. Is there one coming up??? I do own a hj45. Just so everyone knows I bent the bolt because I never new there were cartige type filters I was using the graber that circlie thing and rotating it until the darn thing bent. Then I took the bolt out from the side and what do you know. You have a bent bolt from 1979. Took ages to find one but I know have one. Yes. :)

Most of us are leaving for the High Country and Snowies on Saturday, spending 2 weeks over there getting a little bitof snow driving in!!
The Club's next meeting will be on Thursday 28 Sept, at the Anembo Park Clubrooms at 7:30pm. Take the SE Freeway to Mount Barker. Turn Left at the end of the Mt B Exit and head for Littlehampton, taking the first driveway on the right, it's about 200m down and just past the Hahndorf turn on the left, there's a gap in the median strip for the sports grounds, and that 's where you turn in! If you get as far as the Flower shop or the Train Crossing, you've gone TOO FAR!!
Hope to see you there! Lightforce, PM sent! Catch you all later (after I'm Snow druv out!)
