I own a 1986 toyota landcruiser with just over 200,000km on the clock. I am thinking about fitting a turbo system and are wondering whether it would be worth while with that amount of km. Will the motor handle being turbocharged?
Any info or advice would be appreciated. Could someone also shed some light on prices if possible too.

If compression is good & all bearings are OK, do it.
The cost is around 3.5K - 4K (depending on who does it & which turbo you go for).
Make sure you get it tuned (on Dyno) when you get it done to ensure it is working properly.

Allthough i dont have a 2H motor, this may help anyhow. I have just had a AXT turbo installed to a 3B diesel with 206000 on the clock, i wish i had done it sooner. Before fitting it they did a dyno run and test things like compression etc. they will only fit it if all is OK. Mine cost $3500

i own a hj 47 troopy with a 2h motor with around 255000 on the clock had a turbo on it but it didnt seem to cut it 4 speed is what restricted it and at 110 kms per hour was reving at around 3100 rpm i ditched it and installed extractors and a 3 inch exhust all the waw through it was an instant increase of power around 23 percent the exhust guy tested it and better fuel economy too
