These are the rules we all agree to when we sign up.

You agree, through your use of the 4WD Monthly forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person\'s privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only humorous, but legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to the 4WD Monthly forum.

Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on the 4WD Monthly forum. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages and are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of the 4WD Monthly forum. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator of this forum immediately. We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy goes for member profile information as well.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum, and any related websites to this forum. We at the 4WD Monthly forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another member\'s account to post messages or browse this forum.

After you register and log into the 4WD Monthly forum, you can fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information we deem inaccurate or vulgar will be removed.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this 4WD Monthly forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.

Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browsers cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or sends any other form of information to your computer.

Therefore, Please read the following

Just some guidelines for the forum to remind us what we are signed up for.

Language
Please keep language to a minimum.
This is a public forum & there will be times when minors & ladies will visit & we don't want to cause any problems.

Racist, Personal & Derogatory Comments
Please be aware that no abusive, racist or personal attacks will be tolerated. The forum is here for all of us to share, so please have respect for all users.

Creating new Threads
Lets try to create threads in areas where they belong.
If in doubt, put it in The Clubhouse, or contact either a Moderator, or one of the senior members thru private message & they will be happy to help you out.

Replying to threads
Let's try to keep them on topic & not get too caught up in our personal feelings for or against each other. We all have our opinions on people & as much as a bit of banter can be a good thing, let's try to keep it to a mimimum when replying to unrelated topics. If people want to have some banter, either do it thru PM, or create your own thread on it if you want it public.

Correct Posting Etiquette.
Although adding smiley face Imoticons such as :o ::) :P :-* and other forms of expression adds to the personality of the forum, which is encouraged, Please refrain from posting many multiple submissions in the one post to form words etc. Whilst this may be amusing to some, it contains code which is more complexed than plain text and therefore requires much more time to load and inconveniences those on dial up services.

Multiple Accounts
It is prohibited, by the policy of this forum that you refrain from opening multiple accounts by the one person. Anyone found to be operating multiple accounts in different names as the same person, will have their account/s removed permanently.

http://www.4wdmonthly.com.au/forum/YaBBImages/exclamation.gif Keeping to the thread topic
It has been agreed that any of us wish to post a topic in which we are adamant that the subject remain within the bounds of reason, all we have to do is include an exclamation mark found in the message icon box before posting the thread, such as this http://www.4wdmonthly.com.au/forum/YaBBImages/exclamation.gif
This way all Moderators will insure the respect of the Original poster is ensured.

Padding Threads
The forum is here for all of us to enjoy and share information, not to blatantly submit posts in which contain no relevant information of anything other than increasing the authors post
tally.
Any posts in which are submitted with absolutely no relevance to any particular subject, and deemed padding will therefore be deleted, and looked upon by 4WD Monthly Moderators unfavorably.
This behavior lowers the enjoyment for not only Serving Members, but also Visitors of this forum.
Posts that are deleted will also remove the accumulative count for all Contributing Authors of the removed topic.

Name Changing
If a thread is started with a particular name, Please retain the original name of the thread initiated. Except for spelling corrections Constant name changing does nothing other than confuse members, and detract from normal topic conversation.

Inter Forum Bagging
While this can seem like a little fun, we have to remember that we are one community with similar ideals. Bagging another forum will only start bickering & that will only degrade this forum, not just here but to members of other forums.

Conclusion
4WD Monthly provides this forum to the public as a free service, to provide an area in which like minded individuals can converse and communicate in a friendly environment.

Therefore, 4WD Monthly Forum reserves the right to remove anyone’s account at anytime for any reason deemed appropriate by the administrators of this forum to any user purposely disrupting other members.

Most of all, enjoy the forum
There is a thread of Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.4wdmonthly.com.au/forum/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=2036) which you may find of benefit, which will make your stay an even more enjoyable one.

This is definetly not directed at any member in particular. But just a timely reminder to think before you post anything on these forums, it is a public forum which means that anyone can access it. As the online arm of Australia's most widely-read magazine, it stands to reason someone looking for anti-4WD ammunition might look here first.

If you want an example of someone on here, I was contacted by National Parks Tasmania a few weeks back, who were wanting to gain permission to use the images that some members had posted. So don't think people don't watch!

Thank you for your consideration.
