75 series that is, leafs all round.

Got the diff locks and 33" muddies, can go many places now with ease but am scared to go any higher for fear of ending up on my side (it's nearly happened once or twice).

Travel is really what lets me down, I've looked at removing some leaves and this could be part of the solution.

How 'bout things like drop shackles?

Any and all ideas accepted.

Cut the roof off and turn it into a soft top (gets rid of up high weight) Then add roll cage.
Coil spring it or coil over it.
Cut out the gaurds big time and run 44`s.
6.5 turboed V8 desiel
lower gearing.
Bigger diffs, say D60 front and 14 bolt rear. or 2.5 tonne rockwells.

Thats just for starters ::)

Or maybe just buy Duncan Scotts rig as this has basicaly all been done to it.

That is one tuff cruiser. Pitty it didnt do so well at TTC last year.

Is Duncan now selling his rig?

In defence of Duncan and the truck's performance, I heard the 75 was only finished a few hours before TTC began and had had almost no testing (as a result the springs fitted weren't really appropriate, etc), so Duncan wasn't prepared to destroy the thing on its first outing.

Antunac and Dobbin (not to mention Cheesy!), on the other hand, had the look of men who were willing to take their fourbys home in little pieces ;)

I'd sell it and buy a GQ then spend all the dollars on that........ ;D

Yes....GQ's are like that, take alot of money to try and get 'right"...... ;)

Whereas with yotas you don't even bother as they'll never be "right" ;D

Hey Chopper, I've seen your truck, and with a different suspension set-up you'd cruise though anything you wanted - this would be a walk in the park:

Yeah, i'm thinkin of losing a few leaves as a start, then maybe drop shackles if i get keen.

Hey chopper
sounds like a good rig
have you thought about removing some leaf springs, try 1-2 load carrying leafs and fitting custom shackles(not hard to build a bigger set of shackles) to compensate for the drop with ya springs

BTW what type of difflocks are you running. Im looking at lock rite and unsure to go front or rear 1st.

be careful extending the shackles, I've dove that on my rfs lux and i've got great flex up front but flogged out three sets of springs in four months an i havent even had a licence for three of those months, plus rides like #$%^ on the road(very stiff).

Sorry Rod, bit of a delay there :-X

I've got twin Lockrights, love em.

But I'm not gonna enter the argument of which end first.

Solve the dilemna, and do em both.

How do the lock rights activate? Is it similar to a detroit locker where it unlocks when cornering?

yeah, same principle.

Have never used detroits so cannot compare
