it was great except that i nearly cooked the motor after 10 minutes on the sand :( ill be checking the thermostat today.

Yeah you can work them hard really quick on the sand you have to make shoure your cooling system is in top condition before a big beach trip like that

INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Well Sprung 4x4 club Inc website. I suppose a little bit of background information to start with will give you an insight to what, we in the club, are all about;
The club was formed by a group of friends that enjoyed the Australian outdoors. We enjoyed these areas so much that vehicle modifications became necessary to ensure minimal impact on our environment and protection for our vehicles and families when visiting these areas.
Along with the vehicle modifications came driving skills and experience. The next step was to compete against others in recognised competitions. And compete we did with very credible results for the club and individually.
Since the formation of Well Sprung, our membership has grown steadily. We now have forty plus members. Not all vehicles are modified and not all members want to enter competitions. While there is still a core group that like to compete, a lot of our members would rather enjoy slightly less challenging trips, visiting different areas, camping with new and old friends and sharing a comradery that comes from sharing experiences. Our members and families cover all ages with all our meetings and trips undertaken in a minimal political, friendly and fun atmosphere.
We are affiliated with the Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT (http://www.nsw.4wd.org.au/cms) and actively promote environmental awareness with a goal of �maintaining access for all� to our recreational areas.
CLUB ACTIVITIES
We hold regular social and driving activities; these include day, weekend and extended trips, equipment demonstrations, 4x4 competitions, social nights and clean up days.
All activities are graded from 1-5 in difficulty with members choosing which activities best suit their ability. Further details on these activities can be found on our club calendar and our trip report pages.
DRIVER TRAINING
The club caters for all levels of experience with new and old members required to undertake regular driver-awareness weekends. The club wants everyone to learn the basics by promoting and teaching safe and responsible four wheel driving. Our course involves both theory and practical driving skills. These include, but are not limited to:

Well Sprung holds a general meeting on the third Tuesday of every month at Mt Kembla Hotel starting at 7.30pm, here members are encouraged to express a point of view on any issue.
