I guess a couple of you may have already seen it in the buildups/ongoing projects section of the forum but I guees it doesn't hurt to put up a couple of pics in the members section aswell ;D.

I purchased it 12 months ago in completely standard form & started spending a few $ on it to get it set up for touring & weekend play 8).

This is how it looked when I purchased it (after I tinted the windows)....

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Corryong/Dayone.jpg.

The week after I gave it a 3 inch lift with Koni shocks, dobinson springs & a 4way stabiliser up front. A set of 33 285/75/16 MTRs' & 5 black 16x8 King steel wheels. I also put a new alarm/immobiliser in it & got the windows tinted 8).

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Corryong/MTRs.jpg

About a month later I put on an ARB deluxe winch bar, Safari snorkel & put in a new set of injectors as the old ones had never been changed :-\....

This is a pic of the first time I locked hubs since I owned it & managed to get myself bogged ::)http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Corryong/1stTIMEINTHEMUD.jpg.

A couple of months passed by & I had since put in a cargo barrier, got myself a 2nd hand ARB 3/4 roof rack with all the accessories, 40th Anniversary Engel with a slider, installed a boom boom Kenwood system & ofcourse the personalised plates 8)

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Corryong/Morebitspieces.jpg.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Corryong/Cargoarea.jpg

I put on a set of alloys but they got the flick after our 3 week High Country trip over Xmas ::).
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Corryong/NewalloysCoopers.jpg

I lost a wheel down the side of a track after the nuts came loose on our H/C trip at Xmas ::). It took 4 of us 3 hours to find it. It was all the way down the bottom of the valley & I wouldn't have given a sh!t but it had a brand new Cooper on it & I only had the rims for about 3 weeks :-[.

Looks sweet with the simex on!

Any rubbing with the 35's at flexing? are you running swaybars? if so - disconnects or extensions?

BUG

No rubbing at all with the Pedes & I've only disconnected the front swaybars, rear flex's enough with the swaybars on 8)

Yeah, Andrew does all my work & the bastard is sending me broke :-[.
Each time I go & see him I see another rig in there with something I like or haven't got & get him to book it in the next week ;D

You get what you pay for is the way I see it ;).

They take a lot of pride in their work which reflects on the finished job 8). I recently pulled a lot of things off the wagon as I was going to sell it & realised why things cost a little more $ & time than what I thought as they don't cut any corners & everythings very professional 8).

If I was doing the work myself, it'd be done a lot bodgier that's for sure :-[.

Got the new MTZ's today ;D.

They're a great looking tyre & very quiet for a muddy on the road.

May take them out for a run this weekend 8).
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Corryong/MTZs.jpg

Got them for an excellent price from On-Track 4x4 & Andrew fitted them & balanced them while I was there ;D.

That's Birdy's new machine on the hoist 8). He's still got a few minor bits & pieces to fiddle with but assured me it'll all be ready to race at the Ateco 8). Between the way he drives & the setup on the new extra cab GQ, I can't wait to see him in action at the Ateco that's for sure ;D.....

Took the MTZ's out for a local run today just to see how they handle in the mud, wet roads, gravel roads, etc & I must say I'm very happy so far with their performance ;D.

They're very quiet also but my biggest concern will be how many k's I get out of them as they're a pretty soft compound :-\.
Time will tell I guess :-X.........

Oldmate, i am thinking of a lift on my GU. Mayvbe just 2". Did your standard suspension shake the cab alot over smaller bumps? Mine does.. If so did the suspension upgrade fix the problem? Love the pics. Nice choice.... ;D

4inch went in today (4 & a bit 8)) aswell as the 3 inch exhaust system 8). She's sitting nice & sounds AWESOME ;D.

I'm gonna skip the standard turbo upgrade & go with the roller-bearing Garret. Do it right the first time I reckon ;D.

I'll post some pics up soon :)

I had the standard suspension in for a week before the lift was done so I can't really recall any shakes :-\.

I'd strongly suggest using Koni shocks as they're wothout a doubt the best riding shocks going around 8). I've been in a few GU's & you can always pick the ones who aren't using Konis' :-\.

I've got both swaybars removed now with the 4 inch lift & I'm very surprised as to how it handles through the round abouts 8). A lot better than I thought it would.

The MTRs' were good on the rocks, good on road manners but were wearing way to quick for my liking & they're not much chop in the mud either :-\.

I'll post up some pics of the new lift shortly 8).

As for the shocks, they were sold before they came off ;D.

I'll keep that Dissa trip in mind Greg 8). A mate was talking about heading there this Sunday so I'll probably go for a cruise with him ;D.

I was thinking of running around on 35's but the 33's will do for my week day driving ;D.

Maybe the next set I buy will be 35's but that'll be AFTER I put the roller bearing Garret on it 8).

I was going to do the upgrade on the standard turbo but I'll wait a little longer, save the extra $$$$ (quite a few extra $$$ :-\) & do it right the first time :).

I learnt my lesson with the 3 inch lift ::).

Poor man pays twice :-X.
