hi guys,
just planning a quick trip to the high country at easter.
going with a mate who has a patrol 4.2td and a camper trailer.
looking at doing the track from Mansfield through Bindoree Hut, zeka spur, wonnangatta valley to dargo.
Then heading back westward to Mansfield area again(any suggestions??).
question is : are the tracks suitable for camper trailers / std patrol / st pajero td ?
any info greatly appreciated

I was up at the upper Howqua yesterday and there were guys camped driving 2wd cars..I went over to pikes flat and the road is easy enough & along to sheepyard would be no problems, but if you were thinking of going through the Howqua hills toward Mitchells etc i wouldnt take a camper as that track is hardcore and if its wet its ultra hardcore.

zeka spur and wonnangatta valley shouldn't be a drama but I wouldn'd try billy goat bluff with the trailer. It also far more reasuring if the trailer has got it's own brakes. The area your heading into is just beautiful. Hope you have a great time.
