Hi Guys,
Just a reminder that Clean Up Australia is fast approaching - Sunday 7th March.
Our club is usually involved, but I don't have any details yet as to what / where.
We have a meeting next week & I will hopefully have more details then.

Do you have a problem with acting like a normal human being or what?
If you read all of the threads in the General Discussion area, there is mention about people wanting to be involved in this.
I am just reminding them of when it is & once I have more details, on what our club will be doing, I will post that.
Howabout trying something different pal & dropping the attitude.
I would be involved except theres nothing to clean up here!
;D ;D
actually i picked up a water bottle yesterday.. ;D

Is Bonza trying for the "Moron of the Site" award?
Gee, I was hoping to win it this month!
We will be towing car wrecks and washing machines out of the scrub.....again.
Bloody ferals >:(

While exploring my new surroundings in the Blue Mountains last week, I came across a dumped trailer. The fact that someone had dumped three beehives was alarming enough, but at least they put a sign on it saying "danger bees!"

Best I had seen was a few years back in an area here renowned for dumped cars etc, we were cleaning up and found an old stove, fridge and sink in the middle of the bush. The idiot that dumped it was however thoughtful enough to arrange them so it looked like a little kitchen. ::)
What amazes me is every year we manage to pull out about 8 new car bodies from the same area.
I am going to a meeting of the 4WD club i am joining tomorrow......... hopefully they will be doing the same thing and helping to clean up bushland somewhere. It is great P/R for fourby drivers.... i know i used to think it was a great thing before i got involved with 4WDing...... if it's not brought up, i'll raise the issue :)

firstly just thought id mention that the 13th of march is a saturday...
i have my club on a day trip that weekend and we will be picking up any rubish through our journey....
The Upper Hunter Recreational 4WD Club is doing a cleanup of the Muswellbrook Common on clean up Australia day, going to be a few going to drag out car bodies and apparently a few fridges as well....... All i need is a chain and i'm off to help clean the place up, and do a bit of PR work for the fourby drivers in the area.

I have some more info on what our club is doing.
We will be meeting at the Charmhaven Rural Fire Facility & will be cleaning up the bush near there.
If any non members want to participate, please let me know & I will contact the club President to make sure all is OK.

I originally was only a tentative booking as I was meant to be on a trip to Mt Airlie this weekend, but due to a few factors, it looks like I am an almost definate for Clean Up Aust.

Unfortunately it looks as though I am rostered on to work this clean up australia day. Will be the first year I have missed for five years. :(

congrats on those who helped, well done guys and gals
i didn't participate, but i was busy.
and don't forget that to keep australia clean is a full-time thing, not just once a year, so don't get lazy, find a bin or take your rubbish with you.

I didn't make it, as Mt Airlie was rescheduled for the same weekend.
I should have some details on Friday about what our club achieved.
I Agree Bushboy, it is a year round thing & one of the things we learnt many years ago while in the scouting movement many years ago is to leave it as good or better than you found it & the only sign of being there should be your footprints.
