camping in tassie in about june july?? it'll be pretty cold, best or warmest place would be anywhere up the east coast of tassie, normally a few degrees warmer, but still probably average day temp's of 10-14 maybe. I still go camping in winter down here no prob just as long as you have a good sleeping bag and heaps of warm clothes for the night time.

Nothing wrong with winter camping.
If you have the right gear to keep warm, you will probably like it more than summer camping. I know we do.
