No worries mate as long as I can get confirmation by saturday alls good. ;) If there is dead stock 4wds we will just do some easier tracks and for the bigger trucks we can all go to Hell Hill and the smaller trucks can park down the bottom and watch the bigger ones go up that.
We can go to Saw Pit and who ever wants to do it can and the other can go around the harder bits and do the easier bits if they like.
We will try and cater for everyones 4wd big and small. ;)

We lost Brendon at one stage after we did Hell Hill :P He ended up being in a 4wd that was going in the opposite direction to us but that gave me a chance to do Hell Hill again which is more fun in the dark. :D After finding him we headed off to Smoko Corner than did that track.

I ended up hitting a tree that was across the track later on the saturday night which I bent my rim on. It scared the crap out of Brian & I. :P

I've just finished uploading my photos from the one track we actually started but never finished due to a breakage & a roll over on sunday. :o Humpy rolled it on Sawpit but we rolled him back on his wheels & than he drove the start of it. :D


On Saw pit after Humpy rolled it I blew another freewheeling hub. (I know Frank I should have took a pair with me) ;D ;D ;D I didn't relise till I got back to the sero that I had only let 3 tyres down so maybe that had something to do with me blowing the hub. ::)

Well im glad u all ok but man u guys looklike u had some fun. And u thought i was nuts for not goin up sawpit with my old man. Im glad i didnt. Would have been nice to get some video of it. Seems u had a little drama getting up that first section of sawpit judging by the pics. Good stuff ppl. Hope Paul isnt too sore, judging from the way that driver door ended up.

I was talking to Ben (hitech 4x4) today and one of his mates makes billet hubs so thats what i'm going to put on it. ;)
I think I would have got up Saw Pit if my front right wheel was let down instead of having 40psi in it because I did it easy last time. :P

Gday Guys,

Sorry I only made about 20 metres into slippery before I had to turn around with cooling issues. Got back to the morriset caltex to air up and the rad was about bone dry, refilled and kept refilling every 20 km's home. Turns out a welsch plug on the side of the block let go and had a fair flow by the time I made it home. Sounds like an awesome night, sorry I got there so late too woulda been good to catch up and have some dinner. Mighta been a good thing I overheated so early I was tired as and probably would have done some damage if I continued.

Bad luck about the roll paul you dont look too worried in the pic! Where abouts on sawpit was that? I dont recognise that part is all..

Mick yeah I've heard nothing but bad things about those AVM hubs, sposed to be weak as piss. What this about the billet hubs?

Gday Guys,

Sorry I only made about 20 metres into slippery before I had to turn around with cooling issues. Got back to the morriset caltex to air up and the rad was about bone dry, refilled and kept refilling every 20 km's home. Turns out a welsch plug on the side of the block let go and had a fair flow by the time I made it home. Sounds like an awesome night, sorry I got there so late too woulda been good to catch up and have some dinner. Mighta been a good thing I overheated so early I was tired as and probably would have done some damage if I continued.

Bad luck about the roll paul you dont look too worried in the pic! Where abouts on sawpit was that? I dont recognise that part is all..

Ben is chasing up some prices for me. Basicaly you buy a set of AVM hubs then only use the alloy end bit that has the dial on it. The interals that keep braking are made out of billet. ;) All the damage accured on that first section of saw pit where Mark & Bowie smashed their sills.

PS At least welsh plugs are only $2. ;D It could have been much worse. ;)

Well im glad u all ok but man u guys looklike u had some fun. And u thought i was nuts for not goin up sawpit with my old man. Im glad i didnt. Would have been nice to get some video of it. Seems u had a little drama getting up that first section of sawpit judging by the pics. Good stuff ppl. Hope Paul isnt too sore, judging from the way that driver door ended up.

We went from 5 to 15 4wds in about 1 day. :D Brendan knows what lost is we lost in for about an hour. :D I had to go back to hell hill looking for him because we couldn't get phone reception or even contact with UHF to find out where he was. That was fun driving hell hill again by myself. :P

Humpy ended up finding him back down on slippery rock. ;D

Sorry I missed todays driving :( had to go home early this morning to look after the kids. Left about 7.30 and everyone was still asleep.

No wonder, after driving till two in the morning. A great night though, first time driving in the dark was an experience.

Only damage I've found was a slightly dented front LH panel from a tree I scraped going up Smoko Corner. BTW thanks to Darren in the tough 40 series for the road building on that track

Paul you did it again eh ::) I can almost visualise it. Glad your okay though and damage was minimal

Might have been worse though it could have been me :o. I didn't actually drive Sawpit that convincingly last time ;)

Most of the trip was on saturday night, ie in the dark, so only Bryan was taking pics. Since he was photographing for the mag Im guessing most of his pics wont end up here ???

On the sunday we only did that track, The zook fell over then Mick busted his hub so it was only the Hi tech 80 and me that would be driving. Im not likely to be able to recover an 80, so we decided to call it a day
