Hey all,
I just got my first 4wd. A Feroza series 2 '95 model.
Tagged along with a couple of 4wders around the tracks just inland from Anglesea here in Victoria last week.
Spent 3 and a half hours hitting some hills and pot-hole filled roads the likes of which I had never seen before except on tv and in mags. It was my first time ever on such tracks and what more my "SMALL" 4x4 took the challenge like a giant and I kept up with the other two cars. One was a stock standard pajero and the other was a decked out Jackaroo. The others were surprised at how well the Daihatsu handled it. I was more surprised at how well I handled it for my first time. ;D ;D ;D
I kidd you not that despite a 1.6L engine that doesn't have much play at speed on the highway. It has some balls when it comes to offroad. I did do a lot of research into my first 4wd as finances at present don't allow for a big one and I didn't want a recreational 4wd that was just imitating a 4wd. I wanted the real deal.
It has sparked an interest in wanting to takle the offroad even more and has probably set in stone that I will just go bigger and better in future 4wd's.
From the happiest 4wd newb in town.... Cheers.
