I've noticed that when i sit at the lights, i rest my hand on the gear shift (4wd details below), does this hurt the gearbox??

well i have just been told this because i have not heard of it and thats y i asked in the first place

"resting your hand on the gear shift can put a small amount of load on the selectors ,in return that can put presure on the syncro rings and wear them out prematurely"

They are quite possibly the funniest laughing rolling things i have ever seen Boof!!

Nice work

P.S. I can confirm that resting your hand on the gearstick will wear the numbers out
