top tracks around adelaide area

There really isnt anything close that is Public. Kuitpo in winter can be interesting. Goolwa beach is easy but good family day out. Coxs Scrub got closed.

Cox Scrub is a Rec park south of Adelaide. Used to be lot of gnarly trails including deep creek crossings, long deep ruts, etc.
NPWS have closed it off and are rehabing the area. Apparently people were starting to expand the "playarea"into adjacent farms and generally making a mess of the place.

Its a huge shame because it was the only decent 4wding within 2 hours of Adelaide.

Did you go into the database on 4WDooAdelaide? 40 odd descriptions of places to go, plus there are trip reports in the Files area.

Whats at Kuitpo AJ? Ive looked on my map and I can see some trails but it looks like forestry tracks, is there access and where is the best place to enter?

i went up to kuitpo a few weekends ago when it was absoloutely pissing down hoping to find some tracks, but i couldnt find anything, everything was closed off. Mind you i didnt explore all that far, was running low on fuel and starting to gat quite tired after a bad nights sleep in the tent.

Puppy Spring & Dorado Downs near Tintinara (bout 2.5-3 hr from Adelaide, Past Tailem Bend). Good sand play. It is a private property which you can rent with toilet/shower facilities, camping & fire etc. Owners ar Mr & Mrs Small at Geranium. Loads of fun!!!
