Hello Peoples,

I am planning on dong a trip around central Australia in October this year, and would like to invite anyone who would like to come along. The itinery and exact locations are not yet fixed as I would like the participants to have a say in where we go. No experiance is required but vehicle requirements (minimal, uhf etc) can be discussed. I would be looking for a max of 8 vehicles to come along. I am not a tour operator but I have been a 4wding instructor for several years (this is not a course, just a holiday). Anyone is welcome to come along. Let me know if you are interested (just expressions of interested) no commitment needed at this stage. Hope to hear from interested people soon.

Paul, what sort of time frame are you looking at?

What would you anticipate the approximate costs to be for fuel etc.........assuming no major breakages.

How outback are you talking?

ie staying in motels or side of the road camping?

I am looking at between 2 - 3 weeks around the start of October. There will be points where people can brake off if they have not got three weeks. Last time I did a trip like this it cost about $2000 for fuel plus food etc. Depends on what and how you drive. Possible Simpson Desert. Mostly bush camping with some caravan park stays.

I'm in Roxby Downs, SA but we can arrange a meet up point to start the trip off, that's not a problem. I will send you a PM with my contact details.

Regards

Paul

Don't worry, neither is my GQ but I am still going. I am trying to set it up for comps starting late this year. But life is to short to miss out on an opportunity like this. I don't get time off for this long to often.
