I'm putting this trip up for Steve (The Green Beast) who hasn't got access to a computer at the moment. I'm his winch bitch for this trip. :D I know this isn't much notice but its for 28th and 29th of January.
These tracks are B+ to A but has chicken tracks around most of the hard areas. You will need a minumum 2 inch lift to be on the safe side. ;) The tracks we are doing is The Zig Zag, Whitemans Lane, Powerline RD, Slippery Rock, Flex Track Freemans Waterhole, Smoko Corner and a couple of others if we get time.
The meet up will be on Hue Hue Rd at the cemetry at 8am. If anyone wants to come for just the Sunday thats fine we can organise a meet up place somewhere.
Cheers Mick.

Hey Mick change of plans mate, me and Trent (Chester) will be along for tomorrow, I'll give u a call tonight to confirm but will meet you blokes at the cemetary on Huey Huey Rd at 8am.
8am????? Meaning we need to leave Sydney at 7am at the latest???? Meaning I have to get up at 6am to gulp down 12 coffees and meet Trent????
Jeez...6am...that's only 15 hrs away... and it's Friday night meaning a lot of those hours will come pre-packed with VB...oh my head will be sore tomorrow... but not as sore as Mick's hand :D :D :D

Nice pics Humpy 8)
Thought I'd give a quick report of Saturday.
There were 4 vehicles with Mick (crusher), Nathan (nath), The Green Beast (Steve) and myself doing a good days wheeling with Mick (mick) being the camera wench/one armed spotter. Started off with going up Zig Zag which was relatively easy then coming down.... dammit I cant remember the name of it. Was a great day with some good vehicles coming out. The group of 4 was almost perfect size with plenty of ground covered.
We've decided a good hardcore trip is to go up the track I cant remember the name of which will be very challenging but looks like heaps of fun. It will be organised in a couple of months :)
Cheers

Just looking at that vid of Hell Hill got the heart going again, I got out of shape badly :-[. I'll be adopting a more tempered approach in the future, hopefully with a locker which will assist the cause.
Although to make hell hill with open diffs you've got to have some momentum happening ;)

I was sweating profusely I can tell you and adrenalin was pumping hard. Next time I'll be attacking it a bit differently I think ;).
Don't think you would have took the 80 up there. Only Humpy and I did it, Steve gave it a miss. As I said in my earlier post you have to give it some to get up there unlocked.
I saw Madmac drive it on a previous forum trip in his unlocked Mav so thats why I had a crack at it. He's now got a locker though I think
After watching you, there would have been no chance of me tackeling it. :-\

Great pics Nath and Mick, already hanging out for the next one. Cya's in a couple of weeks at the next watagan's trip hopefully.
A few days have settled and only damage to speak of is a blown power steering line and theres something wrong with one of my tyres too as when I was driving home I couldn't go over 90km/h as the constant bumping was too bad. It was like I was driving on those wake up bumps they have at heatherbrae the whole way home!
Oh well it happens I guess :-\

Nice driving Mick ;D Are you trying to join Humpy's flop club? ;)
Seriously, good drive to do Hell Hill unlocked.
That track in the last video, is that the track that comes out halfway up The Gap road at Freeman's?
Hi Simon,
Yeah that is the track at the top of the Gap Rd. Was a very loose surface, nice track though. Paul went up the right side under a tree.
I went the left side, then up as I wouldn't have fitted under the tree.
Got up reasonably easy

Your tyre wobble isnt just a great clod of mud on the rim is it ???
No worries Pete, can't wait to get out there again myself. What's the go with your tyres, have you had a close look at them???
I pulled them off as soon as I got home because I didnt want to chew out the good tread going to the bay for work. Ive cleaned them and will get them balanced so hopefully should be ok. My father thought one of them may have been egged due to driving on the road with low pressures too long but I'm skeptical.
Not really in the mood for the spending three hunji on replacing a good tyre but. >:(
ps Mick that vid of hell hill was awesome, good effort mate.
We didn't drive far or fast enough to damage the tyres so you should be ok. i liked the mud theory but having them ballanced will help. ;)

that bloke (forget his name, good fella who was leading half the tracks) guided me through where mick is guiding nath in that pic no worries.
but that descent (the steps on whiteman's lane that nath's coming down in the pics) STILL gives me nightmares. like my heart's beating faster just looking at the pic bringing back memories. can't wait to have a go in the patrol tho ;)
If you had of bloody turned up on Saturday, you could have had another go at in your new beast..... ::) ;D ;D

That track was much tighter than it looks there. On the right hand side as your driving down is actually a big hole. The bigger 4wds where only missing it by a couple of inches. If your wheel goes in that hole your 4wd would have ended up laying against those rocks. :o Thats what most people where worrying about.
Cheers Mick.

The line I took coming down was that I hugged the rock on the passenger side until 1/2 way, then turned right to level the front wheels on the last of the larger steps.
I will see if I have some in car video tonight when I get home. (BTW I had a spotter as well)
