We tried to convert Cape York tape a few weeks ago using firewire card, but audio came out crap.
I have a feeling the guy I asked may not have set it up right.
I am going to try to set this up for myself soon so I can have a go at it, but my main PC is down at the moment :(

that 49in swamper doesn't seem to have very big lugs for it's size... i was expecting something a little more chunkier.....proportion wise...

You also might have to drive around in low range for a while until you change your dif ratios & while you are at it you may as well change the whole dif assembly & steering for something that will handle the extra load of a 40+ inch tyre.

cuttin loose
23-11-2003, 04:25 PM
might have to invest in some unimog diffs or something... ;D ;D ;D

24-11-2003, 03:07 PM
hrrmmmmmmmm maybe i could modify the Rodeo for tyres like that ??? *removes front guards and ute tray from the back* THERE!! fit perfectly!!

MUDRIG
24-11-2003, 08:09 PM

08-12-2003, 02:02 PM
sizes of the BFG Krawler are pretty limited at the moment... only because they're still in the test phase...

sizes are:

35 x 12.5 x 15
37 x 12.5? x 15
37 x 12.5? x 15 ( groovable to suit your personal needs.. kinda look like a tractor tyre.. pics soon... ;D ;D

08-12-2003, 02:06 PM
35x13.50R15/C
37x12.50R17/C

the site above gives you the cost in USD....

not sure about side walls... last i heard they were 6 ply..

MUDRIG
10-12-2003, 09:08 PM
mmmmm Six ply! :P

Would that be six thin ply's or six half decent plys. Some of the tyres these days boast that they have a certain number of plys but these are a pissy thickness that only add up to a mediochre side wall!

Well i suppose the only answer is to investigate some more. 8)

SWOIIT tyres those BFG Krawlers

In the 4WDM Gold label, 2003 4WD Accessory Directory,
the pic next to the BFG Krawler is of a "Michelin XZL" the specs underneath say: Size 53x16R20 :o :o
well if that aint big enuf 4 ye
looks like the sort of tyre you'd run on a 4wd fire truck

cheers

well i guess because this is BFG's attempt at breaking into the serious 4wd comp. market it should be a pretty good tyre..

there's a few of the main dude's in the state that use em for comps.. maybe Pat and the boys should get a set and do some testing on them... ;D ;D ;D
