I want to make some storage draws for my cruiser & was wondering if anyone knows of some heavy duty draw slides I can buy & how much they cost.

Try www.Hettich.com, they do drawer slides up to 100kg a pair up to 1m long. Not sure of cost but around the $100 mark or less depending on length. They have side or bottom mount options as well.

Should be able to mail order over the net to Kingaroy - may have a distrubuter in Brisbane as another option.

try hafele. I just emailed them with a part number asking for a price and they got back to me pretty quick which was surprising.

i think they said it was about $75 for a pair with 700mm travel which could support 100kg or 160kg at full extension. these particular ones had more than 100% travel too (ie closed they measured about 700mm, extended they were about 1450 or something)

I got mine for hafele,
I get trade discount and they still cost me 100 bucks a pair, But there are a 750 mm runner with full extention and a 160 kg limit at full extention, I've had them in my car for over 12 months now and there GREAT, hold everything fine, and i've got alot of stuff in there,
I'm a cabnet maker by trade so i made the box too,
I made it so it would NEVER brake, Its inportent with these runners that there is NO flex in the side of the box where they will be mounted to, Otherwise they'll just jam up all the time,
I used 12mm constuction ply, then carpeted the whole thing,

I made all of my slides for two drawers and the fridge, just the bearings for the unit cost me $135.00 my whole unit cost me around the $700.00 mark by the time I had finished, this includes carpet and fittings. I used standard roller bearings (like you find in a early holdens alternator) for the slides and a piece of RHS down the side of the drawer for a guide. Sorry about the grainy picture, it is off a video camera.
