A commo v6 is apparently a good swap but i would think it would be a bit heavy for a zook.
Anyway theres someone on ebay always selling zook speedo cables, he may have more parts.

Well I started on installing the body lift yesterday. Damn its hard, First you got to thread the shank of the bolt, then leave the die on, then cut the bolt down to 25mm then re-thread the bottom where you cut it. And I have only done one. >:(.
I will get around to do the rest today. Anyone know if you can register a car with a 2'' body lift in it in qld?

yep i got a hilux with 2 inch body lift. DOT approved. worst bit was getting it passed though as they were pedantic. they picked me for silly little stuff like a leaky diff bung, and leaking swivel hubs as well as having a spotlight facing backwards. And then he also picked for the exhaust being too loud so I had to get a dB test done but it passed. but all good fun i guess.

Hopefully I can get this week off on paid leave....(those stupid ads come in handy some times).
If I can I will get to work on it a bit more.
I got to do work on the motor, get the body bolted back in, fix up the chassis rails, get 4 good treaded tyres, and get a front clip for it.
Anyone wanna help? ;D
And I either need to get the seats recovered, or get new ones.

I also need to do the fiddly bits as well.

And do you need a complete interior....all the dash, fan, heater, radio, clock, airvents, carpet, fan controls, and all that crap. Or do you just need the instruments?
I am in qld.

Hey Midnight,

A 2" body lift or 2" suspension lift you don't need to get approved as it is legal but you can only have one or the other. All you have to do is notify your insurance. If you want both or go any higher you will need a machineries inspection done & then you have to find an insurance company that will cover it.

If I was you I would pick Twisty's brain & see who he has gone threw.

Its body lift.
Problem is, he is up at whoop whoop on the sunny coast somewhere and Im in northern brisbane.
Would you travel 60km just to get a roadworthy?

I doubt i will have insurance as I am only 16 going on 17, the cost would not be worth it.
besides, If someone did want my stuff during the night, the dog next door would bark and wake dad, and my suzi is just outside his room. So if they made any noise Dad would here it. He is a light sleeper.
Also I dont intend to go anywhere in it. That is what my truck will be for.
