I know this has been answered before but i cant seem to find it
With beach driving i remember someone saying when you park its better to face the water? is this correct or is it the other way around?
Also is it better to use H4 or L4 when beach driving?
thanks
U r right with the first question,
use H4 when u can and L4 if u get into trouble, and if u do get stuck let your tyres down a bit more and idle out of the bog, sand is not like mud the more u rev in sand the quicker u end up sitting on your diffs.
Start your tryes off at 24psi and let them down to 18 if u have trouble, u should be able to do everything on 18 psi

If you follow what dx80 says and remeber momentum is youre friend and always take heaps of fuel then it will all be fun and games. and if you get stuck dont keep trying to get out just stop get out clear the sand out from in front of youre tyres and hop back in and you should get out its amazing how often that works.

Yeah its funny how people think the faster you go the easier it is going to be to get out when it will only put you in a worse position
Can someone please explain to me the reasoning behind the whole facing towards the water when you park?

When facing the water you are facing downhill so it's easier to get going again.

I would presume cause you are taking off down hill, that way you don't bog down????

Easier to start moving if you begin down hill, less likely to bog. AND, if everyone is doing it, it means that you are pretty safe to drive past a vehicle facing downhill that doesn't appear to be moving - it is prolly parked! Check for fogged up windows and a gentle ro................ Oh, wrong forum for that stuff!

You wont have to worry about that you drive a nissan they generally go whatever way you face them. ;D
