Hi,

Am planning a trip north-to-south down the Birdsville Track next year and was wondering if anyone has ever taken up the offers by the people at either of the Etadunna & Kalumurina Stations to camp on their land and do a bit of a wander along the tracks on their property?

Also, this will be our first time on the Birdsville, any suggestions re places and things to look out for of interest would be appreciated.

Thx

Graham

G'day Graham

Get yourself a copy of Westprints "Birdsville & Strzelecki Tracks" map. Has very good descriptive information on the back.

The Killalpaninna Mission Ruin, north west of Etadunna is well worth the effort. Get permission from Etadunna before going.

Kalamurina has to be the most remote caravan park in the country. Turn off right just before Mungerannie. Mungerannie also happens to be a great place to camp overnight on the way down, good cold beer.

As i said, have a look at Westprints map. It will give you a lot of info.

Enjoy your trip. I'm jealous. LOL
