i dont think it will fit. they are smaller than a MWB and are only designed for 4cyl motors. and have you priced a 1HDT they used to get about 12 grand for them. i saw a couple of weeks ageo on carpoint a MWB with a 1HDT in it.

yeah i have but im kinda in the right buisness ( Queensland Cruisers) if ya know what i mean! yeah but just got it underway and im debating 1HDT or 13BT wanting diesal turbo and auto prefferbly and yeah they are smaller but i fell in love with the terms " short wheel base " and " coil Springs "
hoping it should go anywhere!!!
go the 13bt or 14bt
you could alwasy go for a 15bt i think they come out of some Dyna trucks.
I have heard these are a great little (big for a 4 cylinder) engine

yeah true? dunno yet still playing with engine ideas but i have had trouble with petrol and water in the past and i think diesel would be better off but to get the power, you definatly need something factory turbo so leaning on the 13BT any idea of price off the top of your head? i'll do some price research tommorrow

hi there
I have a BJ 73 MWB (3.4 3B) and I was intersted in fitting a 2H Diesel as I would like some more power for towing.
Can you tell me more about the 13BT motors - and are the a simple bolt in conversion - or not.
Thanks
Wayne

The engine in Sheety's old shorty is a 5 cylinder Toyota I think it was a 5PK not a comon engine in Australian much like a 1HZ with a cylinder cut off. 15Bt would be the way to go i think their about a 4lt 4cyl a bit had to find some south african's came to out back chellenge a few years ago in a 40 series it flew. Their a little hard and expensive to find. 13BT or 14BT would be cheap and easier for parts and every thing.
