LIFT 4 IFS

Just wondering if anyone has had suspension lift any higher than two inches on IFS. I know theres plenty of hilux owners out there. Would love to here what you guys and gals have to say! ;)

I am aware that it is a lot more difficult than solid axle but there are more and more vehicles being designed with IFS. There must be some options on the market.

You can get lifts for them but your talking big $$$ like $4000. It basicaly drops the whole lot down and doesn't really increase your wheel travel. For more clearance you'd be better off putting in a body lift and getting bigger tyres.

Check out the BN guys' Frontier (Navara) in the intro section. He's done a heap to his IFS. There seems to be more gear available for IFS trucks in the States.

I can't speak from experience but I have seen a couple that have been modified. Issue 54 page 99 (if you have it). A nice Hilux with a Rancho 3 inch lift kit. It has a photo of the parts that make up the kit which was fitted by Macquarie 4x4. From memory they are 3-4k though. It is cheaper 2 just drop the IFS and replace it with a solid axle

Pretty pricey might have to stick with what ive got for a while until the dough starts rollin in! ;)
