Default Turbo or Supercharger on 3F Cruiser?

I have heard Safari "used to" make a turbo kit for the 3F, but possibly don't anymore because it wrecked the engines. Anyone know what the go is?
I'm am keen to get a bit more torque out of my 3F 80 series and want to know what the best way to achieve this might be. I don't need to tow the caravan up the Toowoomba range at 100km/hr. Just be able to go up a slight hill without having to go back to third (or even second - It is only a 14ft pop-top by the way!).
Would a turbo or supercharger be OK if it wasn't giving too much boost to the engine? Or will either stuff the bottom end no matter how mild the boost?
Also, it is on LPG . Would this add more complications in trying to go down this road? Any advise would be appreciated.

The 3 F motor is not the best one to add any sort of blower.
It is a 5 main bottom end and the valves tend not to take excessive heat etc.
The history of the F series motors can be traced back to the 1950s blue flame chev motor and that was a development of the stove bolt six motor of the late 1930s.
The point I am making is you would be better playing with a more modern motor.....ie transplant.
The 1FZ motor is modern and light years ahead in power and design.
Chev conversion ? or a toyota Diesel.
Money wise with the price of second hand 4 bys......why stuff around and just get something which goes harder.
A set of headers or improvements in the tune of the 3F may be wiser if you what to stay with the 3F

imo a commy V6 is the last option for a 2 1/2t vehicle...

imagine that an empty cruiser is the same as driving a VT commodore with a 7x4 trailer full of dirt ( 750kg) ......the weight saps a fair amount of power from the commodore and increases fuel considerably ( and engine life also).....

Now that was an EMPTY cruiser imagine it with a full load and /or trailer

picture a VT wagon fully loaded up towing the proud mary....thats what a cruiser towing with a v6 would be like.....

my opinion only though...keep the v6 for a dual cab ect less weight

I would turbo it and just get an Exhaust Gas Temp gauge, and keep an eye on the temps, that way youll know how hard the motor is working, if it gets too hot just back off a tad.. youll soon find out where its happiest, and go from there..

use a clutch driven supercharger like a sc16... runs off a clutch like an airconditioner compressor...hit the switch when you need it, drive normally other than that...no extra boost to hurt engine 100% time, just for the few minutes you need!
