power window auto up

heres a question for you auto elec's, can the power windows in a 96 pajero be wired so that they automaticaally go up when you turn the car off. because i am sick of turning the car off and realising the windows are down.

The answer would be ,yes.

Had the same problem in my 80 series. I had a look at the wiring diagram in my Gregorys workshop manual. And from there it was just a matter of cutting the wire supplying the windows between the ignition switch and the window control panel and joining it directly to the battery (via a fuse of course).

Its just a matter of finding the feed wire and bypassing the ignition.

mmm I have seen some cars that do it? its wired into their Alarm?

Sorry, I re-read the post and saw my mistake.

Would be pretty tricky to do unless it is already loomed up in your wiring harness or someone like jaycar sell a kit that does it.

The advantage doing it the way I described earlier I think is better though, cause when you're sitting in your 4by listening to the radio or waiting for the handbrake to do her shopping you can get the windows up an down without switching the ignition on.

Or worse..... when she has the keys and leaves you in the car with the windows UP!!!!
