Ok we (dad and i) are looking to get a new car for my 19yo twin sister to replace her old corolla.

93-96 cherokee i think XJ model i know nothing about jeeps

what are they like to drive this will be an onroad car 99.9% of the time, she does camp and ski and it will also carry bicycles.

we are looking at an auto 4.0l 6

what are they like on the juice? what goes wrong with em and how exxy and easy is an LPG conversion

she is at uni like me so fuel economy is a bit of a player. we have looked at subaru awd wagons but bang for your buck the jeep is better.
plus i might get to you know find a bullbar for a good price, and a lift kit ect ect and get her into wheeling

Cheers
Tim

You'll be getting 12-16L/100klm, there's nothing major that goes wrong with them just get it checked out by a mechanic as you would any car. Pay a little more attention to the cooling system as they can overheat when they get a bit older expecially in city type traffic. You can get them from $4000 up an over $10k but i wouldn't pay any more than 9-10k for a really clean one. You should be able to find one with a bullbar otherwise ARB, TJM make them and a 2" lift kit will about $1000+.
