Hey Guys As soon as the minister for war and finance will allow I will be getting some bigger tyres. I want to go 32 or 33". I would appear to have 1" higher springs in the rear and possibly stock up front. I'm toying with the idea of winding the torsion bar up on the front. My basic question is how big can I go with the tyres? What size are/have you runing? Any dramas with the size you have? Speedo being out doesn't bother me as I will get a rough idea and guess the rest.

I presume you now have 265/70/16's?. You will fit 265/75/16 without any drama, but it will alter your speedo slightly; actually will make it almost spot on. 285/75/16 (33's) will rub even if you do wind up the torsion bars. I have wound mine up a little, but would not suggest you crank them to the max.
You will get plenty of opinions on the so called best tyres. All depends on whether you want A/T's or a more aggressive tyre. I run two sets. A/T's for road duty with a little off road activity. Have recently purchased Mickey Thompson MTX's; very impressive so far & extremely quiet on the black stuff, along with good performance up Mt Matlock in the slush a few weeks ago. MTR's for serious off road & have found them to be very good in everything except heavy mud. Quite good on the black stuff even if a little noisey, but a good all round tyre.
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for the reply. Just realised I missed an important bit of info. Currently running 15" sunnies with 265/70/15s. Just went out the back to check the size and had a quick look, I reckon I have heaps of space everywhere except between the inside of the back tyre and the body...
might duck into bob jane on the weekend and get them to have a play with different sizes...

...
And that is where the main problems are. Mine rub when on full lock, especially with a little articulation.
