Tom_286 there is a bit of both around that area. I,am not exactly sure where the event is but at most I think it would be no more that 10 or 15 min from Noojee so lets just say its in the middle of Noojee for this little exercise.

Camp ground in the middle of Noojee, on the Latrobe river, no camp fees I think, small under cover area with 1 or 2 elec BBQs and public toilets. 3 or 4 min walk to the Tool shed, great spot for a refreshing ale with bits and pieces of history covering the walls and stuff, and great meals. ;D 5 or 6 min walk to the Noojee pub not bad for a quiet beer and meal no accomodation. This would be my pick for camping. ;)

Loch Valley rd north out of Noojee is 5 ks seal rd then the 3 or 4 ks is gravel with camp grounds dotted along the river on the gravel section, I think all of them have the old long drop facility. 2nd choice :)

The Tool shed in Noojee has basic cabins, a bed and a fridge thats about it, no TV or anything like that. Good if you don,t wont to sleep under the stars.

Neerim South 15mins south of Noojee towards Warragul has acommodation at the Kings arms Hotel. Just your basic pub room, with top meals in the pub. With only 6 or so rooms chances of getting a room probable not so good. My pick would be Noojee for a week end away. Not that there is anything wrong with the Kings Arms.

Thats all that comes to me off the top of my head, hope its helps you.

Toorongo falls has a camp ground and a few little hills to play on but they were closed in summer when i was there

A map, I did find a map some where but I don't think it was on the site that I posted above. I'll have a look around for it and post a link here.

i've been led to beleive you can get there by 2wd but parking for 2wd is limited.
Give the organisers a call to confirm.

I'm now marshalling at the event on Saturday to but will be there Friday night with Video camera and still camera in hand. :D
Should be fun.

wicked 3 days.
Including an one team with female driver and female navigator.
The driver was Vanessa Amarossi (spelling?) And they were quite competitive. Extremely good going as before the event "apparently" Vanessa didnt Know what a winch was. :S

yet it was the lux who made it through SS8 (boghole) without using a winch when all the patrols had to use one. (this was on Saturday) *grin*

That was us ;D and we were laughing and joking around all the way from the start line :D and we got the 4th quickest time, if we hadn`t of been joking around we would have got 2nd or 3rd quickest for that stage on Saturday (SS4). We also drove one of the sunday bog holes that only one other rig drove, but since we had a broken front spring we had to drive the fast section slow which made our time slow :'(
