chances are it will break trying to take it out. but if you fold the backseat out of the way remove the spare wheel and roof light (watch the live wire to this) and the rear seatbelt top anchor point then carefully remove all the clips and screws holding it .you should be able to get it out through the tailgate.

Yeh mate just like gibpeewee said those plastic clips probly end up braking but there easy to replace(supercheap, repco).I removed the front first when i took mine out but if your careful should come out alright.;)

thanks fellas i'll give it a shot, as far as pulling the front out first there's no real need it is in perfect condition, it's just the back half that sags down, but thanks for the hints, and if it breaks it breaks not much i can do except fix it i suppose LOL
cheers

Well it broke twice and cracked once but i got it out, now i am thinking to reinforce the backboard i might coat it in like 5 coats of laquer or some sort of resin, i have already used a resin to reattatch the broken bits and to mend the crack but i need some inspiration as to what to do next, what resin/laquer would you use in this instance? i want something that's easy to apply and will solidify to a pretty stiff consistency, maybe fibreglass resin?
cheers
