Have finally decided on doing some modifications to my first car, a swb 88 pajero. Before i start i was just after some feedback on wheather the hopeful modifications would actually be worthwhile. Firstly i plan on getting some 2" lift extended shackles with shocks to suit, and just a front end torsion bar wind up to make it all even. Then if i also get a 2" body lift as well would that make the car too top heavy??? im pretty sure ill need the body lift to fit my new tyres (Simex Extreme Trekker's 31s) and get some sliders made up in the near future.
I also intend on getting either a tightned LSD or any sort of locker for the rear, but am having great difficulties finding someone that makes a locker for hte 2.5td paj. Does anyone know who makes a diff lock for my car???

Any help would be great

cheers matt

All right first question.
2" lift will enable you to fit up to 33" tyres with no rub (will need flares though for legalities) without the need for bodylift.
I run 33" tyres (255/85/16) but would recomend the smaller 32" tyre, as its easier on the 2.5 diesel motor to turn.
Arb makes a rear air locker I think- just dosn't fit my diesel import....
If you swap out the front diff to a 3.0 lt pajero (gen1) diff you will also be able to fit a front ARB locker.

i wouldn't be winding up the torsion bars much more than 2in mate you will eliminate the downward travel of ya wheel but as previously stated if you change the diff and get a front locker than who cares

My dads paj just had an OME 2" lift and he can easily fit 32", but I don't know if the motor can take it. Very slow
