Having had my front windows tinted when I picked up my ML, I now wonder if the rear privacy glass actually offers any UV protection? Does anyone know?

I'm happy to have a clear UV film applied, but only if it needs it.

Cheers

Hey Subi, I think glass is to a certain extent UV proof and would thimk that the tinted stuff would certainly do the job. How much to get your front windows done, i've been told about $100.00

Hi magilla

I can't tell you what tinting the fronts is worth as the dealer threw it in as one of the sweeteners when he quoted the Triton... $100 sounds fair to me though :)

The Glass is ez-kool better uv than tint, I make the stuff at work!

It would be ideal if they matched the front windows from factory.

I've seen a few Tritons with the front windows tinted and it's never matched perfectly with the back windows. Meh, call me a perfectionist...

Same here, Got the front's tinted the darkest legal, but looks light compare to the back, Ez-Kool at the back is different in the make up then the GRN in front, tried to get boys at work to cut me some for the front to match the back, but no mould for the front yet

So grump, are you saying that there will be a mould coming out in the future and we'll be able to buy the privacy glass to suit the fronts?

If thats the case I'll hold off on getting windows tinted...

Get the windows tinted, Pilk's only make OE for Mits, so that's GRN for the front and Ez-Kool for the back

I got my front windows done after picking up my ute and it looks great and it only cost me $50 but you should try and get it a bit lighter because it is hard out in the bush at night time to see out the side and also when we are driving in or out the dirt road is a bright red and if the car is really dark inside it is hard on the drives eyes. Mine are darker then you can go so keep it a bit lighter
