what your thinking about is a spring over axel (SOA) it will give you the lift of the hight of ya diff housing thing about (4-5inches)
coversion, they back might be fine- if you do it youll need to think of length of handbrake cable, longer shocks and breaklines
HOWEVER- youll NEVER get the front to sit as high EVER, the MOSt you can ask is 2-3inches if you wind the bejesus outta the front tosion bars, ball joint spacers and the like may get you a inch but your just going to make the car nigh impossible to drive by screwing with the front(steering ) end so much
also think of the extreme angle your cv's will be on, the greater the angle= quicker they will breack
the best(reliable and safest) way would be a 2inch lift springs, wind the front torsion bars to match(maybe go heavy duty ) put a 2 inch body lift and put 33's on it
then it will be a HEAP higher, it will be almost the same to drive (may need to change gearing in transfer/diffs to get your lowrange back) and your less likely to break stuff
sweet thanks for the advicw madpaj

have a look on outerlimits and 4x4wire in the mitsubishi section, there are a few that have done it
