I am looking at installing some seats in the front of my Maverick (GQ). Does anybody know of any seats that bolt straight on the factory front seat rails.
At the moment i have the bench seat set up. But if i can get some seats to bolt the the factory rails, i probally change to dual bucket seats/centre console setup.
Thanks alot

I've got a GQ passenger seat on ebay at the moment.
Search for GQ patrol seat.

The factory mounts and slides will take a fair range of seats, it's just a matter of finding something that will fit in the gap! So don't just look for the seat mounts, make sure that you measure and cater for the width of the base and the seat back. Lots of the alternatives won't let you move the seat forward (or back) past the 'B' pillar depending on which side you were on when you mounted the seats up!
Try just about any of the Datsun or Nissan range, 200B and 240K seats are some that I've seen successfully moved across. Even if they won't bolt up instantly, it's not hard to redrill a hole or two to make them fit!
Or if you want to go aftermarket, the Commercial range of LTSS seats from OL work fantastically with their suspension units built into the back, not underneath; the Paratus seats from ARB are pretty good, not suspension sprung, but cleverly leather clad where the wear will be worst; or there's Recaro, even if they are getting a little expensive, they are a great seat!
TGry 'em all before you buy!

I've fitted Supra seats into my GQ. I used the GQ runners etc and had to make adaptor plates to cater for the different width of the seat mounting points. Overall it wasn't too hard.

are the supra seats comfy for long trips, or off roading?

The Supra seats are quite supportive and comfy. The version I picked up has electric adjustable side wings and lumbar support too!
I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow.

Pics as promised.
It's surprisingly difficult to get a picture of a seat through the door!!
The other side rail has a narrower adaptor plate (also 6mm aluminium) but has about 15mm packing to get the seat level.

Get some GTR, Silvia seats. Cheap and alot more common and cheaper then Supra seats.

Be carefull though, many sports car seats will not last very long in off road situations.

All comes down to using the original Patrol seat runners. Shouldn't be to difficult.
