Anybody been able to dustproof the tailgate of a D40 ?
I have just bought an STX, added a canopy, and before I hit the tracks I would like to do something about the gaps. Even the Nissan dealership couldn't help, apart from adding a vent to pressurise the canopy.
I know this aspect is not unique to Nissans.
Check out - "bluey's ute world" - they have all sorts of little gadgets etc for utes, I think they have a rubber seal to go across the gap at the bottom of the door.

Clark's Rubber do a whole range of profiles in rubber sealing strips, and I know of a few people who have gone and spent a coupla hours there sorting out the 'best' profile in their mind before replacing the OE rubber or even adding another sealing strip entirely! I know that at least one of them has been back a few times to change his mind, but some of them seem to be happy with the results!
I'd guess that Bluey's Ute world would be more specifically aimed at making the ute doors etc seal better. So it might be a better place to start, only going on to Clark's if you don't think you've solved the problem with the options available from Bluey's!
Happy hunting!

another option is getting some self adhesive foam tape and place that in the joins where it is leaking, should work on the ute cause it worked on my folks caravan door

clark rubber has neopren rubber 15mm x 10mm put that along the bottom, P rubber like old type door seals down the sides with the rubber at least 10 mm high.dont waste your money on foam it wont last.

good call mate, lasts well around a caravan door but probably wont around the ute with stuff getting pulled in and out:thumb:
