Ive recently converted the Chev 350HEI distributor to fit the leyland 4.4l.
To my suprise it was an easy modification and well worth it.
Basically i purchased the chev dizzy and removed everything off it(left me with just the housing)then done the same to the original 4.4l dizzy.I then cut the 4.4l dizzy approx 2 in above the locking clamp, measured it up against the chev dizzy so i could use the chev shaft and cut the base off the chev dizzy.(this is becoming confusing)Then had it welded together, redrilled the pin hole to fit the 4.4l drive gear cog.
Installed it and walah she started first time and she purred.:waycool:
(well after a quick tune)
Thats pretty much it
