I know two blokes that have broken there backs in bike accidents and have recovered so they can still walk about and get to work. Another one of my mates broke his back in a Hilux when he hit a tree that had blown over across the road and he can still walk but cant do too much work now because of nerve problems in his back. I hope your boss is lucky enough to recover. The old human body can take a fair bit of punishment.

thats good news, about the making a recovery i mean.
mate people are often not the same after big prangs like that, but with help and support from those who care he will be close to it.
Hope all turns out well.............
This is the exact reason I have resisted buying a harley..........
I have been a lover of bikes all my life and I would have a harley tomorrow if people in cars would watch were they are going......
My last road bike was a 1100 Katana (Suzuki) when I was 20.....had a few close calls and decided to call it quits while I was ahead, never had a road bike since, but evey time I hear a harley pass by, I just wish wish wish.....
