The Adventure Way
We are always trying to plan trips away and exciting new 4WD adventures.
The one thing that all of our 4WD journeys usually have in common is dirt roads. We can’t get enough of them.
Dirt roads are the heart and soul of this country and take us to some untouched campsites and iconic 4WD locations.
Apart from never having to worry about traffic, taking dirt roads lets you see so much more and is a far more enjoyable way to drive than sticking to the hustle and bustle of highways and main roads.
That got us thinking. What if you could drive from Sydney to Melbourne only using dirt roads?
If there was such a way it would be a far better run than the boring old Hume Highway run that we have all done countless times before.
It would be like our very own Adventure Way…

Advice
If you’re keen on retracing these waypoints then we would advise that you spend as much time in the Alpine National Park as time permits.
At a minimum three days will get you through from one end to the other, but you’d be better off spending at least five days in the High Country to really digest the spectacular campsites and scenery.
Give this trip a go and we guarantee you’ll never want to drive the Hume again!
